Doyle Perry Obituary

Doyle Dean Perry went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22nd with his loving wife Kaye by his side after a courageous battle with Parkinsons.

Deaner as he was affectionately referred to by friends and family, was born to Edward and Ruby (Batey) Perry on June 5th, 1945, in Merced, Ca. Doyle's childhood was spent between Redding & Dos Palos. Doyle received his primary education in a one-room schoolhouse where one of his classmates’ desks was as big as the teachers and drove his own car to school. Eventually, the Perry Family settled in Dos Palos where Doyle graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1963.

Upon graduation from high school Doyle began his 50-year career with the San Luis Water District working his way up from a general laborer to relief ditch rider, and eventually Water Superintendent.

Doyle married his life partner and only love Pamela Kaye Smith in 1965 when he was 19 and Kaye 17. Their nearly 60-year union Blessed them with two children Doyle Jr. in 1967 and Eric in 1973. Doyle, Kaye, and their boys loved the outdoors. They enjoyed the mountains, fishing, and spent countless hours on the houseboat water skiing on Lake McClure.

Doyle loved his family, and his greatest joy was being Poppy to Rebecca, Jacob, Janessa, Gavin, Emelia, Malcom Dean, and Nolita.

All who knew Doyle will say that he was a kind, hardworking, Christian man who will be dearly missed.

Doyle is survived by his wife Kaye, sons Doyle Jr. and his wife Cindy, and Eric. Grandchildren Rebecca, and her husband Monty Bates. Jacob Perry and his wife Elizabeth. Janessa and her husband Flavio Castro, and Gavin Perry. Great grandchildren Emelia & Malcom Dean Perry, and Nolita Castro.

Sister Patsy Davis and brother Ken and his wife Debbie Perry. Aunts Loretta Burkey, Sybile Darnell, Marie VonAllman, and Uncle Harold Batey. Brother-in-law Harvey Smith and his wife Brenda as well as several nieces and nephews.

A luncheon celebrating Doyles’ life will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 11 am at the home of his niece & nephew Jabo & Maria Davis – 15510 Bryant Ave. Dos Palos.
